Review: Sola Cue

If you've been following my blog for any amount of time, you know that I'm not a huge fan of insertable toys, I love rumbling vibrations, and I'm picky about buttons. When SheVibe offered me the chance to review the Sola Cue, I was hesitant but excited. I had heard great things about the company but had my doubts about some of their claims.

When the toy first came to me I marveled at the box. I have the Wellness Eggs in my queue to review and they came in the same box - but I didn't expect the luxury to be reflected across their entire line. The box is great for storage, but it does come with a bag if you prefer a more compact option. The Sola Cue also comes with a charger, charging block, and the usual booklets.

The Sola Cue is a beautiful, powder blue, g-spot toy that hits all the right spots perfectly for me! I
love using it for clitoral stimulation during intercourse and actually don't mind using it for it's intended purpose. One of the few toys that I have found that can get me off with only internal stimulation.

I credit its ability to get me off to its deep, strong vibrations. The vibrations aren't buzzy and don't feel biting against my clit. They also carry well through my entire pubic bone and don't dissipate too badly when I apply pressure.

It is also waterproof, rechargeable, and made of body safe silicone. The silicone is fine to use without lubricant externally, but I have found that it is almost uncomfortable to insert dry.

One of my favorite features is that it includes 5 speeds and 5 patterns. I'm not a fan of patterns, so I stick with the speeds. But I do enjoy that I have 5 options to cycle through while I near orgasm and ramp up the speed!

Despite loving the Sola Cue and raving about everything I love, it is not without flaw. There is a soft portion of silicone around the middle of the toy that allows it to bend when enough pressure is applied. This irritates me as I need firm pressure on my g-spot and clit and getting that with this toy requires some maneuvering.

The button placement is also bothersome. The buttons are exactly where my hand rests or grips when I am using the toy. They are easy to press and I often change the setting in the middle of playing, or worse, getting off!

Sadly, that's not where I stop complaining. The Sola Cue gets hot during use, the charging port is finicky, and your hand will go numb if you use it for extended periods of time. Personally, I enjoy the warmth from the toy when it heats up, but I feel like this may be an issue with the motor. The charging port is a pain in the ass. I have found that it needs to be set on a flat surface and not bumped, moved, or breathed on. And the hand numbing thing is a sort of pro and con. I find that the best vibrations for my clit make my hand go numb.

Despite its drawbacks, the Sola Cue has quickly become my go-to insertable toy. It has strong,
rumbly vibrations and is the perfect shape for my body. I love that it has 5 options for steady speeds and 5 patterns. I love that it's waterproof and has the qualities of a luxury toy, but is a fraction of the price.

Personally, I can look over the issues with the charging port, the fact that it heats up, and that it makes my hand go numb. The biggest thing I would suggest to make the Sola Cue perfect would be to move the buttons. I can't stand a toy that has bad button placement!

Review: SheVibe Fantasy Coloring Book

I use coloring books for my anxiety and depression; they also play a massive part in my DD/lg kink. When I am feeling particularly little and, or anxious, I'll pull out my coloring books and colored pencils, sit on the floor, and go to town! I've colored mandalas, faces, original pieces, zen tangles, and so much more. So, you can imagine my delight when SheVibe offered to let me review the Fantasmic #NSFW Coloring Book (illustrated by Alex Kotkin).

Alex Kotkin is an artist who has done work for DC, IDW, BDI, and Zenescope. While in this review we are focusing on his drawing skills, he is also known for his work with Copic markers. He has done a good bit of work with SheVibe, but if you want to check out his other work, you can find it on alexkotkin.com.

Anal Training Kit from The Kink Factory

Recently I've taken an interest in anal play. My guys have been asking about trying again for a while now, and while I was reluctant, curiosity got the better of me. I started requesting that they play with my anus during sex. It began with light massaging and progressed to fingering. From there I wanted to move up, but not straight to a dick. I wanted to go slow and do it right this time.

After looking into "kits," I came across The Kink Factory's Gemstone Anal Training Kit. I already had a small tail from them that I knew I could take with minimal discomfort and with a plan in a mind I reached out to them. They agreed to send me a kit for free in exchange for my honest and unbiased review.

October Round Up & Share Our Shit Saturday

I usually try to do monthly roundups but have been slacking on the blog in general lately. I want to focus on reviews for the rest of the month, but a meme called "Share Our Shit Saturday" recently came across my notifications. With the changes Twitter is making and the shit that sex bloggers catch in general I feel like participating in this mem is important.

While it isn't Saturday, and I'm a bit late to the party, I wanted to write up my monthly round up and let you guys know that on Saturday's I'll be participating in a meme where I share other's content. I encourage you to do the same! It helps to support us and encourages us to keep up the good work. At least, it encourages me to keep going when I know that people are actually reading my posts.

Have a Spoopy Halloween with the Fleshlight Freaks Cyborg Set

Check out the promo code at the bottom of my review for 10%
off your purchase during the month of Ocotober.

Fleshlight Freaks Cyborg Set
I've never really been big on Halloween. Sure, when I was a kid I loved dressing up and getting free candy. Some of my favorite memories of my siblings were sitting around with our Halloween loot, trading licorice and Milky Ways for Twix and Smarties. But going all out, decorating, the appeal that most people find in the holiday doesn't speak to me in the same way. That's not to say that I don't enjoy looking at the decorations or the costumes, but I enjoy doing those things year round. That said, I came across the Fleshlight Freaks line a couple of years ago, during the summer and was instantly obsessed.

When Kitten from KittenBoheme posted on Twitter about wanting to review Halloween themed toys, I suggested the Freaks Series. Of course, I tagged Fleshlight, but I didn't expect them to reply. I certainly didn't expect for them to offer to send me something from the Freaks Line for free in exchange for my honest and unbiased review. I want to make a note here that the Fleshlight social media manager is terrific.
